Consultation has concluded

The Town of Yarmouth has initiated amendments to the Land Use Bylaw for matters related to Sponsorship Signage.

The amendments are intended to:

  • Provide a platform for acknowledging sponsors and donors for their valuable support to Town-operated facilities, and publicly accessible non-profit operated facilities.
  • Allow for off-premise sponsorship signage in specific zones (Environmentally Sensitive (E-S), Open Space (O-1), Floodplain (O-2), and Institutional (I-1) with regulations proposed that will control elements such as, illumination, orientation, and placement.

How Will This Affect Me?

The proposed amendments will enable sponsorship signage in the Environmentally Sensitive (E-S), Open Space(O-1) and Floodplain (O-2), and Institutional (I-1) zones, and clarify what sponsorship signage is and how it will be regulated. Additionally, these amendments will allow the Town to recognize the numerous donors who contributed to the development of the splash pad at the Yarmouth Mariners Centre.
