The Town of Yarmouth is looking for residents’ feedback for consideration to allow Front Yard Solid Waste Storage.

Our current Solid Waste Resource By-Law does not allow for storage of any organics, recyclable materials or garbage in a mobile or fixed container to be in stored in the front yard.

The Town has examples of certain properties in the town that have, without permission, installed fixed solid waste storage units in their front yards.

Your input was provided to Town Council at the July 25, 2018 Committee of the Whole for consideration in amending the Solid Waste Resource By-Law to allow solid waste storage in front yard.

Council to make decision at the Town Council Meeting August 9, 2018.
