What is the purpose of the Yarmouth Community Housing Forum?
The Yarmouth Community Housing Forum is a chance for homeowners and property owners who want to learn more about renting out rooms or making new apartments. You're invited to join us for this information session.

When and where will the forum take place?
The forum will take place on Thursday May 1, 2025, at the Nova Scotia Community College Burridge Campus, 372 Pleasant Street, Yarmouth NS. The event will run from 2pm to 4:30pm for the Session 1 and a repeat Session 2 from 5:00pm to 7:30pm.
Is there a fee to attend the forum?
No, the forum is free to attend. However, advance registration is suggested to ensure adequate preparations for refreshments and seating.
How can I register for the forum?
You can advance register for the forum via Eventbrite.ca or you can attend on the day of the event . Registration is encouraged to help us plan adequately for the event.
Is accommodation provided for people with disabilities?
Yes. NSCC Burridge Campus is an accessible venue. Please contact us at 902-742-1505 or edo@townofyarmouth.ca along with registering for the event, if you require a preferred seating location. ASL will be available during Presentations and Panel portion of the Forum.
Is there a parking fee?
No. There is no parking fee. Town of Yarmouth’s Transit Bus also has a Bus Stop location at the NSCC Burridge Campus and transit fares are FREE! For Transit Schedule visit here.

Will there be opportunities to ask questions?
Yes! You can provide your questions in advance on Get Involved Yarmouth, and there will be opportunity at the Forum to post your questions. All question responses will be posted on Get Involved Yarmouth. Time for networking with presenters and panelists are scheduled between the sessions.
Will there be any guest speakers or panelists at the forum?
Yes, we will have guest speakers and panelists, including Program Managers from the Province of Nova Scotia Housing Programs, NSCC, Efficiency Nova Scotia, Happipad, Home Stay, Dalhousie Legal Aid, Town of Yarmouth Planner and Building Official, Small Homes Builders, Nova Scotia Power, and many more.
Will the forum be recorded or available online for those who cannot attend in person?
Yes. Session will be recorded and available on Get Involved Yarmouth.
