The owners, Sarah Warner-Lannigan and Pat Lanigan, of 42 Argyle Street (PID 90212184) applied to the Town of Yarmouth to allow adaptive reuse of a former church located at the corner of Argyle Street and Willams Street. As discussed in the Applicant Submission (Attachment 1) the owners intend to convert the former main assembly area into a restaurant with a lounge space on the ground floor of the existing building.

A Development Agreement combined with a rezoning of the site from Residential (R-1 Zone) to Commercial (C-4 Zone) along with amendments to the Municipal Planning Strategy and the Land Use Bylaw (referred to as “planning framework”) are proposed and necessary to accommodate the project. The proposed planning framework seeks to provide additional land use flexibility to encourage reuse of the building over time.
