The Town of Yarmouth has received a Development Agreement applicationfrom the owner of Yarmouth Mall (Toulon Development Corp) to permit Medical Clinic and Office uses within the existing mall building.
The proposal represents a significant shift from the Town’s current policy intended to allow office uses only in several strategic locations throughout Yarmouth, including the central business district / downtown.
An open house information session has been scheduled to provide basic information about the proposal, applicable Town land use policies, application approval process, and an opportunity to engage with Town staff and the applicant regarding the project.
The information session will be held on Thursday, June 26th, 6:30 pm to 8 pm, at the Yarmouth Mall, 76 Starrs Road. The meeting will be held in store #30, directly across from Dollarama, and next to Northern Reflections – see the map below. Use the entrance next to Running Man Grocery Mart. Signs will be in place.

Development Agreements have a right of appeal to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board within 14 days of this notice. Development Agreements are considered effective at the end of this 14 day appeal period, if no appeals are received, and once they are registered at the Land Registry Office.
