Please be advised that the public participation meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 4th, with the Town of Yarmouth Planning Advisory Committee has been cancelled pending a legal opinion on the Transitional and Supportive Housing application for 8 James Street.

the process for this application has been interrupted while the town's CAO seeks a legal opinion on a related matter. Until the opinion is received and considered, the process is paused. It is not unusual for the CAO to seek legal advice on behalf of the Town. It is unfortunate that the timing has affected a meeting schedule, but it does happen occasionally. Following receipt and consideration of the legal advice, notice will be provided to the applicant, and to the public, of any public meetings, public hearings, or public participation meetings.
