This report is to introduce a new planning application submitted by Grand Multip Properties Inc. on January 9th, 2025, to permit 140 residential units within four multi-residential buildings on a site directly across from the Nova Scotia Community College.

This residential project has the potential to add a significant number of long-term rental housing units (both market and affordable – actual split is to be confirmed) and therefore lessen the existing gap between housing demand and the available housing supply identified in the 2023 Municipal Housing Needs Report.

    The Town of Yarmouth received a planning application from Grand Multip Properties Inc. to permit a new residential development on two lots (PIDs: 90334798 & 90334780) adjacent to Pleasant Street (see the sketch below). The project consists of:

    • three (3), with an option for four (4), 35-unit apartment buildings
    • between 105 and 140 rental units (including one and two bedrooms)

    Open House

    An open house information session has been scheduled to provide you and other adjacent residents and landowners with an opportunity to learn more about the intended project. The applicant and Town staff will be in attendance. The open house will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 6.30pm to 8.00pm at the NSCC Burridge Campus, Room C181.
