Consultation has concluded

The Town of Yarmouth has received an application to permit a micro-distillery in the General Commercial (C-2) Zone. The C-2 zone permits a wide variety of commercial uses but does not permit craft beverage production. Craft beverage production has gained popularity in recent years. In anticipation of future requests for similar types of uses, the proposed amendment will permit the requested micro-distillery use as well micro-breweries, micro-wineries and similar craft beverage production uses in the C-2 zone.

How will this affect me?

The proposed amendments will permit small-scale craft beverage uses in the C-2 Zone. The C-2 Zone generally includes commercial properties located along Starrs Road and Pleasant Street.
