The Town has received a subsequent application for a Land Use Bylaw (LUB) amendment to allow accessory buildings in the front yard of residential zones.

Currently, the LUB does not allow accessory buildings in the front yard of residential zones. However, in some circumstances, property owners do not have the space or access to side or rear yards.

The proposed LUB amendments will allow accessory buildings in the front yard of residential zones under specific circumstances, as outlined in the attached report.

How will this affect me?

These amendments would apply to all residential zones and allow front yard accessory buildings only under specific circumstances.

    A Public Participation meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 4th, 2023 at 6:00 pm with the Planning Advisory Committee. Members of the public can register to speak at the meeting or provide written submissions.
