The first meeting of the newly formed Accessibility Advisory Committee was held on Thursday, January 20th via virtual meeting. The committee is made up of members of the community who offer broad knowledge and firsthand experience on the subject of accessibility. A key goal of the committee in its first year will be to develop a comprehensive Accessibility Plan for the Town of Yarmouth.
Accessibility Act Essentials - This webinar explains what prescribed public sector bodies must do in order to comply with the Accessibility Act. It offers details about how to assemble an accessibility advisory committee, and steps to take to develop an accessibility plan.
