NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in Council chambers, located at 400 Main Street. Members of the public may attend and speak at the hearing, or provide written submission. Written submissions can be received by 12 pm (noon) on July 7th, 2026, and may be emailed to admin@townofyarmouth.ca, or delivered to Town Hall.

What is the Hearing About?

This Public Hearing will address the following item:

  • Proposed Development Agreement for 150 Water Street

The owner of 150 Water Street has applied to enter into a Development Agreement to permit one short-term rental accommodation unit (at 150 Water Street - PID# 90193798), without requiring the operator’s primary residence to be located on the same lot. Council has approved to move forward with a Public Hearing prior to consideration of the requested Development Agreement. You may obtain more information, including the Planner's report at Yarmouth Town Hall, 400 Main Street or in the report section of this project.
